What it is

katalogue is an iPad app for assistive communication, built for Kat, who has ALS. She composes messages with her eyes, and the app speaks them aloud or sends them as an iMessage.

The idea

• Forgiving input: approximate spelling gets cleaned up by a language model.
• Predictive shortcuts: likely words become one-look targets.
• Adapts over time: hit areas tune themselves to Kat's gaze.
